This role will provide technical support and management information (MI) and reports and insight to the whole HR function as well as undertaking basic level HR advisory tasks.

Job Description

- Responsibility for producing regular and timely reports on HR MI on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis, including the Quarterly People Pack and Pay Gap Reporting.

- Support the development and maintenance of HR information systems

- Provide support to both the HR & L&D functions with ad-hoc data analysis, reporting and administrative tasks

- Develop and maintain HR dashboard inputting and reporting key people metrics on employee headcount, turnover, absence, attrition, talent management, diversity etc.

- Supporting the annual pay review and benefit renewals.

- Act as System Admin for XCD and manage all system enhancements, upgrades, proactively leading the delivery of these projects.

- Advising on HR queries

- First line of support for queries about HR and Learning Systems

- Leading and ensuring that the monthly payroll is accurately processed within the set deadlines and checking all HR inputs are correct (e.g by the HR Administrator).This includes adding new joiners, processing leavers and changes to FTE, salary, new roles, one-off and regular payments/deductions, timesheet payments etc. Supporting ad hoc projects

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise 

- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational and planning skills

- Advanced excel skills (VLOOKUP, if function, pivot tables)

- Ability to produce reports, streamlining processes, and developing system changes

- Experience working with complex data sets

- Experience working in a project/change environment

- Experience in HR systems (desirable)

- Experience with annual pay review modelling and Pay Gap reporting (desirable)

- Basic employment law knowledge

- Able to forge good working relationships with colleagues across the whole of the organisation and HR team

- Excellent written and oral communication skills, and the ability to communicate complex and technical information and outputs with clarity.

- Ability to understand and manage changing business and technical requirements.

- Adopts a solution driven approach to solving problems

- Technical expertise and in-depth knowledge of planning and analysis tools

- Being able to work in a collaborative manner

- Tactful, diplomatic, and highly confidential approach

- Good project management skills

- Able to work at pace and manage multiple priorities

- Role will impact on the efficiency of HR processes both within the HR team and across the whole of the FRC.

The role is based in our central Birmingham office. The post holder should be able to work flexibly to support the team’s activities and also provide cover within the FRC as necessary. The FRC operates a hybrid working arrangement with its workforce. The FRC operates a hybrid working arrangement, with a expectation that 40% of a person's working time will be located at one of our offices per week, with precise arrangements to be agreed between the employee and the line manager.
