Employer ProfileResponsible for effective building management, project and contract support at NRW’s analytical laboratory in Swansea University, this role ensures the site operates safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements. The role covers day-to-day management of both hard and soft services and requires a strong focus on maintaining a safe, high performing laboratory environment.
You will work closely with service providers, the leaseholder and internal NRW teams to ensure that all laboratory functions receive reliable, high quality operational support. A key part of the role is the day to day management of the facilities budget, including monitoring expenditure, forecasting future needs, and reporting directly to the Analytical Services Manager. You will also play an important role in supporting the procurement, administration, and delivery of high value contracts, capital projects, and other significant operational improvements.
The position requires close collaboration with stakeholders, including the wider NRW Facilities team and facilities technical specialists to ensure that all facilities related obligations are met and that our laboratory facilities remain compliant, resilient, and fit for purpose. Although primarily based at Swansea University, you will also be responsible for maintaining assets at other NRW laboratory locations as required, hence a full and valid driving license is required.
