Board Members
Hedyn
Employer ProfileA year into our journey as a newly merged organisation, Hedyn brings together two ambitious housing providers into a unified, values-led Group and one of the largest Registered Social Landlords in Wales. Everything we do is driven by our commitment to residents and communities, ensuring we provide safe homes, great services and an inclusive, purposeful place to work. We have strong foundations in place and a Board that has worked exceptionally well together during our first year - collaborative, forward-thinking and united in our ambitions.
As we now move from merger to deepening integration and continuous improvement, we’re seeking three new Board Members who will help us deliver our strategic objectives, maintain high-quality governance, and bring fresh insight as we grow. Whether this is your first or next non-executive role, you’ll bring strategic perspective, strong communication skills and the confidence to challenge constructively.
One of our opportunities is for an experienced professional with a background in housing development, able to offer breadth of knowledge across land, partnerships, planning and sales. This role may also include joining the Board of Candleston, our commercial subsidiary delivering high-quality homes and mixed tenure communities.
We’re also seeking a Board Member with expertise in organisational development and strategic HR. Someone who can support us as we shape our reputation as a great place to work. You’ll have led transformation, people strategy and culture change in a complex setting and will bring a sharp, peoplecentred lens.
Our third opportunity requires a strategic leader with treasury expertise, ideally with experience in housing sector funding, onlending structures and debt funded development. You’ll help ensure our long-term financial strength and support informed decision making at a pivotal moment for our organisation.
The estimated time commitment is 2 days a month.
We want Hedyn to be a place where colleagues can thrive and we are committed to increasing diversity of thought at Board level. If you have the skills and insight to help shape Hedyn’s next chapter, we’d love to hear from you. If you require any adjustments during the recruitment process, do get in touch to discuss how we can best support you.
